Established in 2010, a BOI-accredited facility and one of the Philippines’ leading lead recycling operations, utilizing advanced Green Slag Technology with an annual recycling capacity of 48,000 metric tons.
SUSTAINABILITY
With more than four decades of recycling expertise, RAMCAR advances a circular economy through vertically integrated battery manufacturing, lead recycling, and resource recovery. Backed by advanced recycling technologies and an established international network of facilities, RAMCAR recovers and reprocesses valuable materials for reuse in new battery production—maximizing resource efficiency, minimizing waste, and reinforcing our commitment to responsible environmental management.
RAMCAR integrates environmental responsibility throughout the battery lifecycle, from product design and raw material sourcing to manufacturing, end-of-life recovery, and recycling. Through our vertically integrated operations, we recover and reprocess valuable materials for reuse in new battery production, conserving natural resources, minimizing waste, and improving resource efficiency. This comprehensive approach strengthens our closed-loop manufacturing system while supporting responsible material management, long-term environmental sustainability, and the continued advancement of a circular economy.
Years of recycling expertise
RAMCAR has established an extensive international network of lead recycling and resource recovery operations spanning the Philippines, Malaysia, and Australia. Through continued investment in advanced technologies, specialized processing facilities, and strategic expansion, RAMCAR has strengthened its recycling capabilities and infrastructure to support large-scale lead recovery, responsible material processing, and the reintegration of recovered resources into new battery production.
Established in 2010, a BOI-accredited facility and one of the Philippines’ leading lead recycling operations, utilizing advanced Green Slag Technology with an annual recycling capacity of 48,000 metric tons.
Acquired in 2012, one of Malaysia’s largest licensed lead recycling facilities, with an annual recycling capacity of 24,000 metric tons.
Acquired in 2015, a major lead recycling operation in Malaysia, with an annual recycling capacity of 12,000 metric tons.
Acquired Enirgi Power Storage Recycling in 2018, Australia’s largest and most advanced lead recycling facility, with an annual lead recycling capacity of 36,000 MT of lead.
Acquired in 2025, First Shepherd Holdings is a key battery recycling facility in Western Australia, strengthening RAMCAR’s regional recycling infrastructure and capabilities.
RAMCAR utilizes advanced rotary furnace technology in its lead recycling operations to recover and reprocess valuable lead materials for reuse in battery manufacturing. The process incorporates Green Slag Technology, designed to produce stable, inert slag and reduce the hazardous waste disposal requirements associated with conventional lead-smelting processes. By integrating material recovery with battery production, RAMCAR strengthens resource efficiency and supports a more responsible, closed-loop manufacturing system.
Since 1977, RAMCAR has continued to expand its lead recycling expertise through investments in advanced technologies, specialized facilities, and strategic acquisitions. What began with recycling operations in the Philippines has evolved into an international network spanning the Philippines, Malaysia, and Australia. Through decades of continued growth, RAMCAR has strengthened its recycling infrastructure and material recovery capabilities, supporting the responsible recovery and reuse of valuable resources in battery manufacturing.
RAMCAR is committed to protecting the environment through responsible lead-acid battery recycling and sustainable manufacturing practices. Supported by our vertically integrated operations and recycling capabilities, we work to recover valuable materials, conserve natural resources, and support a more circular battery lifecycle.
